Wedding website feature!

As promised, we’re featuring blogs by Nigerians (or blogs with a focus on Nigeria) that also focus on weddings! First we have the blogs that have focused on the journey from fiancée status to being a Mrs. and beyond: Amy’s Making Mrs. Mauritz, Chichi’s From Now Till I do, Favoured Girl’s A Girl’s Journey Down the Aisle, Kemi’s Till My Dying Day and a new arrival, Miss A’s Journey to Malta. I haven’t yet come across a blog about the journey to marriage from a man’s perspective…it would be interesting to read about what runs through men’s minds while their fiancées are contemplating wedding colours and guest lists, wouldn’t it?

Bola Abodunde (also known as Onada) runs The Fab Bride a wedding resource blog geared toward Philadelphia-based brides. There are also Nigerians blogging about various elements of preparing for the wedding day, including coordination of the big day: BCG Events, Bfab Events, Events by Doyin and Zuribelle.

If you enjoy looking at pictures from other weddings to see how others prepared for their special day, then you must visit Naija Wed N More. There are other sites that have featured wedding websites in the past, but many have not been updated in the last six months.

Finally we end with Nigerian photographers who feature Nigerian weddings on their sites (link provided is to the wedding section of the website): Dotun Ayodeji, Fola Adewole and Tunji Sarumi.

If you have other wedding websites to add to the ones listed above, please leave them in the comments.

Thank you for sharing this link but unfortunately it illustrates how hard it is to find current information on the topic of Nigerian weddings…that blog was last updated in 2007!

  6. Hi,

MyGorgeousWedding.co.uk is a UK based wedding ideas blog with some Nigerian (West African – seeing as I'm married to a Ghanaian!) flavour!

  7. http://temiville.wordpress.com/

Here is introducing my new blog 'Musings of a Caramel Latte Addict' where I talk about anything and everything that pops on my mind in a no-holds-barred fashion. http://temiville.wordpress.com/

I have had 7 posts since I started the blog on the 1st of October, 2010 and I intend to be frequent in my postings.

The title of the discussions so far include:

Nahum what? (Which talks about this oft-dismissed book of the Bible)

Monster-in-law (Which talks about dealing with difficult mothers-in-law)

Truth or blatant heresy? (Which talks about the truth in or fallacy of Zodiac signs and temperaments)

Gamu Gamu Gamu (Which discusses the unfairly rejected X factor contestant)

Please do drop by as often as you can, comment on anything you find interesting, wrong, right or blatant rubbish (doubt you'd find anything like that, hehehe).

    Many thanks,

    Temi.xxx
