  1. How do I get my blog listed on this website?

    First off, make sure your blog meets the following criteria:

    • blog must be by a Nigerian or have a strong focus on Nigeria
    • blog must have been updated in the last six months. All efforts will be made to make sure the listed blogs have been updated in the last six months.

    If you meet the above criteria, send an email with the name of your blog and your blog’s address to nigerianblogawards@gmail.com (if you prefer, you can fill out this contact form. Please note that you only have to do ONE of the two.

    Please also note that this system is not automated so your blog will not show up automatically on our site after you submit it: a human being is responsible for updating the list of bloggers. As such it may take up to one week before your blog is listed. Please do not submit multiple entries.

  2. Why is [insert name of blog] not listed on this site?
    This list of Nigerian blogs is not exhaustive and all efforts have been made to include as many blogs as possible. Simply submit your blog and as long as it meets the above criteria, it will be added.
  3. How do these awards work?
    The awards are tweaked each year. For the 2011 schedule see here.

  4. How were the nominated blogs chosen?
    Generally speaking, people are invited to visit this site for a period of two weeks (usually beginning in May) and use a nomination form to nominate worthy blogs in each of 30 categories. The five blogs that received the highest numbers of nominations in each category (10 blogs for the category Nigerian Blog of the Year) are announced as the official nominees.
