Happy New Year

Happy New Year! We’re looking to the next blog awards in a mere six months and if things go as planned the website will be revamped and there will be some tweaks regarding how things will run.

I was reading the information posted about the Future Awards and I was really impressed with the process that has been established for those awards. The goal of the Nigerian Blog Awards is to put in place something that is transparent and free of bias. There is no physical award presented and the thought of fixing the awards just sounds so ludicrous to me. We want the best blogs by Nigerians to be discovered and we want to grow the community of Nigerian bloggers, inspire our readers to start blogs and continue the cycle of inspiring the next generation to great things.

If you have a suggestion that you’ve been waiting for the right time to share, this is the time! Let us know what you loved or hated about last year’s awards, and what you’d like to see in the 2011 awards.

As a reminder, any blog that hasn’t been updated in the last six months will be moved to the archive page by January 15.
